About

Built to be the contractor a facility director calls back.

TruBuilt Exteriors is a roofing and exterior contractor serving the Greater Philadelphia region. Most of what we do is commercial — warehouse and industrial envelopes, medical buildings, and private school campuses — alongside architectural roofing and exteriors for high-end homes. Both markets reward the same thing: getting the assembly right and documenting it.

Position

We are not the cheapest bid, and we’ll tell you so early.

Roofing is one of the few trades where the buyer usually can’t inspect the work. Once the membrane is down or the shingles are on, the difference between a roof that reaches its warranty term and one that fails in eight years is invisible from the ground.

That gap is why the industry looks the way it does. It rewards whoever writes the lowest number, because nothing distinguishes the bids until long after the check clears. We compete the other way: by putting the assembly in writing, photographing the work as it goes in, and handing over a closeout package that documents what is actually on your building.

If price is the only variable that matters on your project, we’re probably not the right call — and we’d rather say that in the first conversation than in the third.

Standards

What we hold ourselves to

01  ·  Crews

Our people on your roof

The crew that shows up is ours. Where a specialty scope requires another trade, we name them in the proposal rather than surprising you with an unfamiliar truck in the lot.

02  ·  Documentation

Photographed daily

Conditions found, work in progress, and completed details are photographed every day and delivered in the closeout package. If something is questioned two years from now, there is a record.

03  ·  Safety

Fall protection, every roof

OSHA-compliant fall protection, trained crews, and site-specific safety planning on commercial work. Certificates of insurance and safety documentation available for your vendor file before we mobilize.

04  ·  Manufacturer standing

Certified, and audited for it

Certification is what lets a manufacturer warrant an assembly we install. Keeping it means passing their field inspections — a second set of eyes on our work that costs you nothing.

05  ·  The property

Left the way we found it

Plant and hardscape protection, staging placed with you rather than wherever is convenient, and a magnetic sweep every evening — not only on the last day.

06  ·  After

We answer the phone later

Warranty registered in your name, maintenance requirements explained in plain language, and a real person to call when something needs looking at in year six.

Certifications

Eleven manufacturer certifications, and what each one buys you

Certification isn’t a badge for the website. It is the specific reason a manufacturer will warrant an assembly we install — and the reason they send their own inspector to check our work at no cost to you. Current certificates provided on request.

Commercial & low-slope

  • Elevate certifiedFormerly Firestone Building Products. Certified status is what allows Elevate to issue their system and Red Shield warranties on the TPO, EPDM and modified bitumen assemblies we install — including no-dollar-limit terms on qualifying projects.
  • Mule-Hide Products certifiedSingle-ply and coating systems, with manufacturer-issued warranties on both replacement and restoration work. Gives us a second warranted route on roofs where a coating beats a tear-off.

Steep-slope roofing

  • CertainTeed ShingleMasterThe certification that lets us register 4-Star SureStart PLUS coverage: a lifetime non-prorated product warranty with labor and material protection, where most roofs carry a materials-only warranty and no workmanship coverage at all. It has to be registered shortly after installation, which we do in your name as part of closeout.
  • CertainTeed Master CraftsmanThe installation credential behind the ShingleMaster status — earned by the crew, tested on the details rather than the paperwork.
  • GAF Certified Roofing ContractorLets us install and warrant GAF systems where an owner, architect, or insurer has specified them.
  • DaVinci Roofscapes installerCertified for DaVinci composite slate and shake — the 50-year, Class 4 material we specify most often on high-end homes that can’t carry the weight of natural slate.
  • Cedar Shake Installation SpecialistCedar fails at the details — ventilation behind the shakes, fastener choice, exposure. This is the certification that says the crew has been trained on them.

Siding, trim & remediation

  • James Hardie certified installerFiber cement siding installed to Hardie’s published specification — clearances, fastening and flashing — which is what keeps their warranty intact.
  • Ascend composite siding installerComposite cladding for elevations where fiber cement isn’t the right answer.
  • AZEK certified installerPVC trim, fascia and soffit that doesn’t rot at the joints the way wood trim does behind a gutter.
  • Stucco Remediation CertifiedCertified to diagnose and remediate failed stucco assemblies — a widespread problem on homes built through the 1990s and 2000s across Chester and Montgomery County.

Insurance & references

Documentation available on request

  • InsuranceGeneral liability, workers’ compensation, and commercial auto. Certificates issued directly to your vendor file, with additional-insured endorsement where your contract requires it.
  • BondingBid, performance, and payment bonds available for qualifying commercial projects.
  • ReferencesProvided by project type — warehouse, industrial, medical, school, or residential — so you hear from an owner whose project resembled yours.
